Information Literacy for the First Year Writing Series

Purpose

The SU Library supports the first-year writing series learning outcomes centered on engaging in the scholarly conversation, analyzing how publication formats of information sources affect perceptions of quality, exploring the ways in which authority is conferred to information creators, and recognizing the value of information by using sources ethically.

The guide for Information Literacy for the First Year Writing Series addresses the needs of faculty by providing in-depth information on information literacy outcomes; lessons and activities for faculty that focus on the learning outcomes; and videos and tutorials to reinforce and assess learning.
