Information Literacy Toolkit

The unique capabilities and constraints of each information creation process as well as the specific information need determine how the product is used. Students recognize that information creations are valued differently in both academia and the workplace and can use markers to indicate quality in any context.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  • Select the appropriate format to communicate information based on audience and purpose
  • Articulate the traditional and emerging processes of information creation and dissemination in a discipline
  • Distinguish among types of sources, recognizing that information sources may be perceived differently based on their format
