Theatre Research: Theatre Publications

There are a number ot theatre publication available at SU, but they are not all in the same database.  Here's a quick guide to finding them.

In Academic Search Complete

Other theatre publications in Academic Search Complete include:

American Theatre, Asian Theatre Journal, Comparative Drama, Contemporary Theatre Review,  Entertainment Design, Lighting Research and Technology, Medieval and Renaissance Drama in England, Shakespeare in South Africa, SHAW, Studies in Theatre & Performance, TCI Theatre Crafts International, Theatre History Studies, Theatre Journal, Theatre Notebook, Theatre Research in Canada, Theatre Survey, Theatre Topics and TheatreForum.

To see a good selection of the theatre titles, click on Publications in the toolbar, select the By Subject and Description radio button and enter theatre in the search box. Then check off the titles you want to search and click Add. When the search page appears, add your terms in the second box.

In Business Source Complete

Theatre publications in Business Source Complete include:

Back Stage, Live Design, Rental and Staging Systems, SRO:staging, rental, operations,

Click on Publications in the toolbar, select the By Subject and Description radio button and enter Stage Production in the search box. Then check off the titles you want to search and click Add. When the search page appears, add your terms in the second box or use the left-hand menu to limit by Subject.

In JSTOR

The only theatre publications in full-text in JSTOR are:

 The Shakespeare Association Bulletin, Shakespeare Quarterly

To search one of these publications, browse for it by title and then use the drop-down on the search box to Search In This Journal

However, JSTOR is an excellent source of scholarly material, so it may be worth doing a general search as well. Limit to Read and download for full-text articles.

In Ebsco Open Acess Journals

To search these open access publications,go to this page and limit to journals in the left hand menu.  Then find your title and link to its website.
