Sociology has been defined as the study of society and human activities with the aim of understanding human behavior. This guide will present some resources for researching a topic in Sociology.

a portal to reports and statistics published by the federal, state and local government agencies. Tip: sometimes print is easier. If you are having trouble finding what you need statisticswise, get a copy of the Statistical Abstract of the U.S.  (REF HA202.A38), which has a subject index in the back. Once you find your data in one of the tables, look at the source, then search for that agency using the URL provided or USAsearch, or use Google or another search engine.
