Finding Fiction and Non-fiction eBooks for Young Readers

The SU Library has a collection of fiction and nonfiction eBooks for children and young adults.

Follow these directions to find eBooks that will be helpful for your project.

1) Click on the link to the database.

2) Select either

  • Children's & Young Adult Fiction or
  • Children's & Young Adult Nonfiction

3) On the search screen you'll see one of the search fields is already populated.  If you select fiction it will look like this:  EC JUV* OR EC CGN*

4) Leave that information in that search box and add any search terms like your topic or an author's name in the other search boxes to see if we have a book that will be useful for your project.

5) If you want to get a link to the book to include in your project, look at the right side of the screen and click on the Permalink tool.  A box with a link will appear.  Copy and paste that link where you need it.  DO NOT copy the URL from your browser address bar.  It won't work after you leave the database.
