Mission
SU Library’s InfoLit Program strives to empower students, faculty, and staff to become confident information consumers and creators in today's dynamic and evolving information landscape. Through innovative, engaging and collaborative instruction and programming, the SU Library provides all constituencies with the understanding needed to use information critically and ethically in learning and creating new knowledge to attain academic, career, and life goals.
Information Literacy is …
a set of critical inquiry skills which include habitually evaluating, questioning and verifying information sources; learning that format and medium of communication does not define the quality or appropriateness of an information source; and knowing that good information-seeking is best described as nonlinear, dynamic, holistic and flowing.
