Welcome to the Addictions Research Guide.This Guide covers resources available through the Stevenson University Library in the area of addictions--both chemical and behavioral.

Government and Research

There are many excellent websites from the federal government and others on drug and alcohol abuse as well as other forms of addiction.  

The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI) from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

"NIDA's mission is to lead the Nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction." The site contains research reports, fact sheets, and lots of free information.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service logo

For statistics to support research about about substance abuse, the National Criminal Justice Reference Service of the U.S. Department of Justice is an excellent resource.
