Subject Guides bring together library and other resources related to a subject in one convenient place. They're a great starting point for research.
On the library home page, they're linked under Research Tools or you can use the button under the OneSearch search box.
Course Guides are created for a particular course or assignment. Your Subject Librarian can work with you to create a custom guide including library and other resources appropriate for your course.

The purpose of course reserves is to make a limited number of materials accessible to many students. The SU Library offers:
To put an item on reserve, fill out our Reserves Form and bring the item(s) to the Zaffere Library.
Books, DVDs, CDs, slides and print copies of journal articles may be placed on reserve. Personal copies of books will be accepted, if the library cannot procure a copy of its own. Sample term papers, can be put on reserve but the student must give his/her permission. Print Reserves are generally for “in library use only” but the instructor can give permission for students to take them out overnight or for a longer period.
Please consult the library’s copyright policy and bring all materials to the circulation desk.
All material should be reviewed each semester, and if no longer used, should be removed from reserve. If material will be used another semester, inform library staff so copyright compliance can be ascertained.
Material that can easily be duplicated, such as a book chapter or journal article, can be scanned and accessed through E-Reserves. When you submit an item for electronic reserve, students will be able to go directly to an E-Reserves coursepage and retrieve the item from anywhere. Students can then print the material for their own use. Copyright considerations may require password protection for the item and it is the responsibility of the instructor to distribute the password to the class. Please choose material of a reasonable length. We may need to separate the material into several files so it will download in pdf format in a reasonable amount of time.
Each item you submit for scanning should meet the following guidelines:
Please provide the title page or show full bibliographic citation with item to be scanned. Make sure item is listed in your syllabus in the same way so students will easily find it in the reserve system.
Note: If an article is available through one of the library’s databases or an electronic subscription, we can provide a link to it unless prohibited by the licensing agreement. You may also link to it from BlackBoard or your own homepage.
