How to register for a SciFinder Web account and how to access the program.

News

Stevenson University's license for SciFinder now allows unlimited concurrent users. You do not have to wait until another user signs out to search the database.

If you encounter difficulty accessing SciFinder, please contact the library. Let us know when (date and time) you had the problems.

Register for an Account

Register

Each user must register for an account to use the web based SciFinder. To do this, you must be a faculty, staff, administrator, or currently enrolled student at Stevenson University. You must also have a valid SU email account.

Go to the registration form and complete all the required fields. You will receive an email confirming your user name and password. The email message will also contain a link to click to activate your account.

Once you have your account activated, you can access SciFinder and sign in to begin your work.

To access SciFinder from the library home page, click "Find Databases" in the green bar on the library page. Use the "Databases by Subject" dropdown and select "Chemistry." Then click on SciFinder.

Off-Campus Access

When you click the name SciFinder from off-campus, you will see a login box. Log in using your SU user name and password. You will then be taken to the SciFinder page where you will need to log into SciFinder with the username and password you created when you registered for your account.
