Visitors and researchers are welcome and can come to the Archives to engage in research or to speak with the University Archivist by appointment only. Catalog records for much of the archivesl can be found online.

When you come to do research, please call ahead with your specific research needs. An archives representative will determine which of our items might best suit your needs and will have them waiting for you upon your arrival. On entering the Alumni Reading Room you will be asked to temporarily store all briefcases, backpacks, and other such containers and to place all pens and pencils as well as scissors, bladed objects, and cameras in them prior to entering the Reading Room. Photography is expressly forbidden unless explicitly approved in writing by the University Archivist. Signals from wireless service providers are highly attenuated within the confines of the Archives so you are asked to shut off cell phones, smart-phones, and other wireless communications devices while in the Archives as well.
